Hi there, I'm Maria Dimova (She/Her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) practicing in Charlotte, North Carolina. I take a no-nonsense approach, with a touch of humor, to lifes challenges and mental health. My work is grounded in evidence-based frameworks and incorporates evidenced based modalities, such as CBT, DBT, The Gottman Method and PREPARE/ENRICH with couples. Let’s slow down, identify the core problems together, and learn to look at them from a new perspective as we create meaningful change. I am here to be your best advocate and provide a confidential space for you to grow in.
I’m deeply passionate about supporting people through transformative growth. I consider it a true privilege to help individuals uncover their resilience and step into their destiny as they reconnect with their most authentic selves. Together, we’ll use a systemic lens to foster deeper understanding, create meaningful insight, and explore lasting change.
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University and furthered my love for family with those at the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a concentration in Families and Intimate Relationships, as well as a minor in Family and Consumer Sciences, from Appalachian State University. I believe football season is the best season, and enjoy traveling.
