What can I expect from therapy?
You can expect a supportive, confidential environment where we work collaboratively toward your goals. Therapy is a process, and we will take it one step at a time, with compassion and understanding.
How long will I need therapy?
The length of therapy varies from person to person. It depends on the challenges you're facing and the goals we set together. Some individuals benefit from a few sessions, while others may need longer-term support.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes! Teletherapy is available for those who prefer to attend sessions from the comfort of their own homes in North Carolina, and for those who are a good fit for meeting virtually.
What are your fees?
My fees are as follows: $135 for individual sessions, $155 for couples therapy and family sessions.
Are sessions covered by my insurance?
Sessions at The Ridge Therapy, PLLC are private pay only. You may be able to use your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). Please verify benefits on your account. The Ridge Therapy, PLLC is not in-network with any insurance companies at this time. This decision is because I believe choices about your care should be made collaboratively by you and me — not dictated by insurance requirements.
What is a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
